Rainbow Room Hair Salon

Combine my love of photography with the fun of being a girlie girl and I’m in absolute heaven.
I know from personal experience exactly how much effort it takes to be in business! Being in business requires being the expert in numerous realms, including undertaking my actual craft of capturing the highest quality photographs possible but also marketing, social media, website work, SEOs, computer savvy, accounting, attentive customer service, administration, continually learning, etc. Attending to each of these usual business aspects, ALL vying for attention in the average business day, takes tremendous focus, diversity, talent, energy, and not to mention courage!
So, as I recently did a photo shoot for the local Rainbow Room Hair Salon, I couldn’t help but be incredibly impressed with the business, as well as Jen the business owner and the other stylists too. Why? Well, not only does Jen Stapleton have an extremely busy and successful shop that keeps her and her staff hustling, but she’s also a mom of a toddler too, little Isabella. Stylist Suzie is also a mom, a single mom no less, busily working to support her young family. Whew, I say!
So, on a Monday when the salon was closed, five lovely models were brought in to have hair and make-up transformations, as Jen needed before and after images of their work for her website and marketing initiatives. As I photographed the experience over several hours, it was amazing to watch each of these ladies in action. And, what fun to watch the five models in the process of going from au natural to glamorous! After each model had their transformation complete, a mini-shoot was taken outdoors, individually and then together at the beach, in front of the new Watermark in downtown Sechelt.
To you models who generously donated your time and energy… wow, each of you is absolutely bee-YOU-tee-ful! I thoroughly enjoyed our photo session together.
Take a look at the beautiful before-and-after work each of the stylists do at the Rainbow Room Hair Salon. Ladies, I have such admiration for all that you do and, Jen, you’re simply a Wonder Woman! And, you know what, that’s exactly what it takes to be in business these days. I feel a bit like a Wonder Woman myself most days. Here’s a huge tribute to all of you women in business for yourself… we’re a pretty resourceful bunch of go-getters!
