My 55th Birthday
I travelled to Prince Rupert (on the northern coast of British Columbia in Canada) for this special shoot, to photograph “M” on her 55th birthday. She had confessed to me that living in the colder climate and needing to dress in layers of clothing to stay warm for much of the year, combined with “feeling older now” contributed to her being quite out of touch with her sense of attractiveness and sensuality. She yearned to re-connect with that side of herself that felt beautiful and desirable again.
“M” was an incredible model who gave herself up completely to the experience, in every way! We had such fun doing her hair and make-up, then changing from outfit to outfit with her accentuating accessories, getting increasingly more confident throughout the photo shoot. The portraits and glamour shots revealed an incredibly gorgeous woman with stunning blue eyes, hair and a figure that is contrary to her (previous) inner belief about herself… indeed, she’s fabulously fit and shapely. This 55-year old birthday girl got downright daring, pushing her own internal threshold into wearing several classy lingerie outfits that confirmed to her she’s still “got it” and how she can be downright PROUD of how beautiful she is.
It was a total pleasure to photograph “M” who now advocates that every woman feeling somewhat asleep in their sense of attractiveness have a special photo shoot, as she did, to re-awaken into their full beauty… no matter what age they are! “M” has been shining in her new sense of self since our fabulous time together… and it’s no wonder, look at her! Wow!
Sisters can connect so deeply, more than just relatives but as best friends too… as in the case with me and my sister, Marina. Ever grateful for my friendship with her, I urge you sisters to capture the connection you share through some special photographs, as I captured (using my camera timer) with my beloved best female friend. These shared images mean the world to me and always will. Let me capture you with your sister too.
I love you, Marina… you’re and amazing person and friend!
